Since moving to our new home, this was the first time I experienced snow in a new area, so I was curious to see how the blanket of white would affect everything around me: the houses, the gardens, the trees, the cars, my balcony, the massive forest behind my house...
Our street looked beautiful: the before dark rooftops now looked bright white, a colour that honestly suits them way better than the moody dark brown that seems to be chosen for the majority of the roofs in the UK.
There weren't many people out - I think I only walked by a dog and its owner throughout my walk this morning. People tend to cocoon in the comfort of their houses because they hate the cold, how slippery the streets get, the inconvenience of traffic. I say they are missing out!
Having said that, here's more snow for me to enjoy on my own. And, if you know me even just a little bit, you know that this doesn't bother me at all. Leave all the snow for me to enjoy. I will build snowmen, take photographs, walk in the snow and enjoy every second of it!
